They have won the Greek championship three times —28, —32, —46 , the Greek Cup once , and they have remained undefeated at home in European competitions in 26 home matches since The club was established as a football club "Podosferikos Syllogos Aris Thessalonikis" by a group of 22 young friends in a coffee bar in Votsi area on 25 March and given the name Aris from Ares , the ancient god of war.
